Prerequisites for the TEFL Heaven Volunteer Teaching Projects
To be eligible for the program you need:
To be very enthusiastic, energetic and able to commit for the six week period.
Teaching suits the extrovert rather than the introvert, so you have to have an outgoing personality.
To be resilient and open-minded and ready for a challenge!
For all of our placements we are looking for people who love to work with children.
You do not need:
To speak fluent Thai to teach English as teaching is not done through the translation method.
A degree.
CELTA or TEFL qualifications.
Any work or travel experience.
Please also note that it is a requirement from our partner school for you to be native English speaking or of native English speaking proficiency.

Free Accommodation
Accommodation is provided for the 4 weeks of the TEFL course and also for your 5 month teaching placement afterwards. Since accommodation in any country is one of the biggest costs, you do not need to worry about this.
A Living Allowance
You will be paid 12,500 THB at the end of every month. An average Thai salary is 9,000 THB per month. Remember, you don't have to pay for accommodation so your living allowance is plenty of money to eat and enjoy yourself!
A Network of Fellow Interns and Other Teachers
We have around 50 teachers in all in four provinces in Thailand, about half of which get replaced at the end of every school term. You can imagine how easy it is to make friends when you are in the same room for 4 weeks training!
