You will study and train a state of the art facility within a centralized and authentic Mexican atmosphere. After you have completed your 140 hour TEFL course, we will ensure you get your dream teaching placement in Mexico. Placements could be anywhere in the country and are mostly in primary and secondary schools, working Monday to Friday.

The housing option we suggest would be to stay in our apartments, with up to three trainees per room, then after training your school normally assists you in finding suitable accommodation. Mexico is one of the higher paid Latin American countries with salaries ranging between 650 – 850 USD and living costs between 400 – 700 USD, meaning you have plenty of money to spend after paying for your bills and food.

FULL TEFL CERTIFICATION
Earn your internationally recognised 140 hour TEFL certification, receiving instruction from experienced trainers and a highly experienced team of advisors and support staff. The course is intensive and in every sense of the world “full-time”. Some classes will run until the evenings some days in order to either observe others teaching or to do your own teaching practice. There is homework too! This training will fully prepare you to take on any teaching job once you graduate.
SUPPORT WITH ACCOMMODATION FOR THE 4 WEEKS OF THE TEFL TRAINING
We can provide support and advice on where to stay during the course. The housing option we suggest would be to stay in our apartments, with up to three trainees per room. They come fully equipped and furnished along with a pool, a palapa (Mexican shelter), Wi-Fi and are only a 5 minute walk from the beach! This accommodation is at extra cost of only $125.00 USD per week. If you feel you would like to live somewhere else during the course we can suggest some other reasonably priced and comfortable accommodations.
A GUARANTEED PAID JOB TEACHING ENGLISH
This program comes with a guaranteed paid teaching job in Mexico! Jobs can be anywhere in Mexico. One of the great things about this program is the eligibility criteria – we can guarantee jobs to those who hold a bachelors degree and are native English speaking, as well as non-degree holders and non-native English speakers with a high level of English skills!
Once on the course, our TEFL team in Puerto Vallarta give you all the contacts and resources you need to be able to find a teaching job in Mexico. With the guaranteed job, you need to be flexible as to salary and location. It’s common for people to secure a job immediately after the training, but we always say that you should secure one between 0-30 days after the TEFL training.
Through our Skype interview we judge whether we think you have the personality to teach English abroad, and if you pass that interview you should have no worries!

This means you need to arrive at least 4 days before the start date of each course in order to travel to the training location and overcome any jet lag. End dates are exactly 4 weeks later and courses end on a Friday.

The dates that you start teaching vary. With this program, jobs are available throughout the terms. It’s likely you will start teaching mid term in most positions. Generally teaching jobs are secured 0-30 days of the end date of the program. Remember, jobs are guaranteed to all degree holders, those without degrees, native English speakers and non-native English speakers on this program.

Mexico is one of the largest economies in the world. With jungles, deserts, bustling cities, fiesta’s and world class cuisine, this country is diverse in landscape and culture. As the Tropic of Cancer effectively divides this country into temperate and tropical zones, this creates a mega-diverse country which holds over 200,000 different species. Mexico is home to 10-12% of the worlds biodiversity.
Mexico is a an endless adventure for the senses, almost everywhere makes for a life spent in the open air and for you to discover Mexico. It is country of contrasts, friendly people and endless travel options. The ‘real’ Mexico is not defined – the further you explore the more you will define for yourself. Mexico is jam packed with culture and history, it’s pre-Hispanic civilisation built some of the world’s great archaeological monuments, the capital city Mexico City is built directly over an entire ancient city. Aztec and Mayan ruins and artefacts are still being discovered to this day and are wide spread.

Puerto Vallarta is surrounded by the radiant blue Bahia de Banderas (Bay of flags) and backed by the evergreen covered jungle mountains, this city is enveloped by stunning natural scenery. This historic city has vast amounts to keep you entertained in the evenings and weekends. The cobblestoned centre is home to the ornate church Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe along with a wide range of restaurants and bars to satisfy all of your culinary needs. In addition to the bustling city centre, there is the renowned beach-side promenade dotted with contemporary sculptures, nightclubs, lounges and bars which comes alive in the evenings.
Mexico is a vast country, people normally assume the weather is always very hot. This is not the case, the weather differs from tropical to dry desert to snow in the high mountains. The terrain of Mexico is extremely varied and diverse, so is the weather. There are two main seasons in Mexico, rainy and dry seasons. The rainy season is through May to September/ October. During the remainder of the year there is little to no rain. The Tropic of Cancer effectively splits the country into temperate and tropical zones. North of the parallel you will find cooler temperatures during the winter months. South of the parallel, you will find that the temperature is fairly constant all year around.
Puerto Vallarta has a typical Tropical wet and dry climate, the average temperature is 30°C. The beautiful temperate is due to the location, as sits on the Costa Dorada of Mexico, where the Pacific Ocean meets the border between Jalisco and Nayarit. Located on the same latitude as the Hawaiian Islands, the city’s weather and climate are actually similar to Hawaii.
Mexican culture varies widely throughout the country, especially comparing small rural communities to cities. However they all play a pivotal role in creating the vibrancy that is Mexican culture. The Mexican people place a large influence on the hierarchy and structure in both business and family life. Mexicans typically have large families and are very conscious of their responsibilities to their immediate family members, extended family and even close friends.
SOME MEXICAN ETIQUETTE
If invited to a Mexican’s house, bring a gift such as flowers or sweets.
Arriving on time or early for a meal is considered inappropriate.
The family is at the centre of the social structure.
Do not begin eating until the host says, “Buen provecho!”
Wait until invited before using a Mexican’s first name.
When greeting in social situations, women pat each other on the right forearm or shoulder, rather than shake hands.
THINGS TO DO IN PUERTO VALLARTA
If you fancy something a bit more authentic, then every Friday there is lucha libre which is the traditional Mexican wrestling. If adventure is more your thing then do not fret, you can take cruises out to the picturesque crystal waters and swim with whale sharks and even scuba dive. There are numerous ranches too for those who prefer to stay on land, you can ride healthy horses for a scenic 3-8 hour trots in Sierra Madre. Puerto Vallarta has something for everyone, and is one of the most sophisticated and liveliest resort destinations.

- Mexico has the oldest university in North America. The National University, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) was founded in 1551 by Charles V, a holy roman emperor.
- Mexican children do not receive their gifts on Christmas day, as Mexico is largely a Catholic country. They will receive their gifts on January 6th.
- Mexico is located in the ‘ring of fire’. This is one of the world’s most violent earthquake and volcano zones. This ring of fire consists of 450 volcanoes, constituting 75% of the world’s active volcanoes.
- The smallest breed of dog in the world, the Chihuahua is named after a Mexican state.
