Cusco is one of the most visited cities in Peru. It was the capital city of the ancient Inca tribes and one of the largest cities in Peru. From here you can visit many Inca sites, including the famous Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
Cusco is rich in heritage and culture. There are many foods to try, including guinea pig (a local delicacy), as well as many species of potato! Cusco is a modern metropolitan city and has around 400,000 people.
Around the Plaza de Armas and in the San Blas district there are clubs and bars where you can enjoy the nightlife. There are also nice places to relax and listen to a variety of traditional or modern music.
The locals in Cusco are welcoming and let you take pictures of them next to ancient Inca walls in their traditional clothes, even holding lamas to make your pictures extra special.
